Hot Cold Peltier Device Electricity Accessory

This piece of equipment is an add-on accessory to our High School Electricity Sets.

It is powered by 6 volts dc from the two battery packs and a connector from the High School Electricity Set.

When this Peltier device is connected to 6 volts dc (two of our battery packs in series), one side gets hot while the other side goes cold. 

This device is used in portable fridges / warmers in order to heat or cool drinks.

It can even be powered with either our solar panels or even hand crank generators!

The ceramic based device measures 4 cm square and comes with our clip connectors which makes it compatible with all our electricity equipment.

It is a solid state device which uses the principle of thermocouples to produce electricity.

When the current is reversed in the device the temperature change is also reversed.

In a wonderful twist, when one side of the device is heated with a candle flame, it actually produces electricity!
